November 18th – Habitat Improvement for Birds

Besides the blanket bog, RSPB Airds Moss also includes an area of floodplain grassland that is being managed for breeding farmland waders such as lapwing and red shank. Part of this includes maintaining little pools and ditches by clearing out encroaching vegetation to keep the habitat as diverse as possible. We will be working with our partners RSPB Scotland so come and join in the fun!
