National Moth Night at Hannahston Community Woodland – Thursday 12th October, 7pm-9pm   Recently updated !

Join the East Ayrshire Coalfield Environment Initiative (CEI) and local moth expert Tom Vorsterman on National Moth Night as we discover the variety of moths that make Hannahston Community Woodland their home . This free, family-friendly event is great for both children and adults with an interest in wildlife. Moths will be caught and displayed and we are likely to see other nocturnal wildlife too, including bats.

Please wrap up warm and bring hot drinks and a torch!

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Please note this event is weather dependent and may be cancelled if conditions are too bad on the day. For this reason we would recommend registering your interest with the CEI Project Officer, Gemma Jennings on 01563 576771 or gemma.jennings@ea-cei.org.uk so we can contact you should it be called off.

Meeting point: Hannahston Community Woodland car park (Drongan) at 7pm.

Hannahston Community Woodland lies between Drongan and the A70 Cumnock to Ayr road. See map here.
