Conservation ´╗┐Projects Volunteer


The Conservation Projects Volunteer will support the CEI with practical conservation tasks, for example gardening, fence building, tree planting, scrub removal, and other ad hoc tasks.

Where:

Various locations in the East Ayrshire coalfield region

When:

Approximately one session per month

Duration:

Ongoing

Requirements:

You must be able to work in a team and follow direction, in particular complying with any health and safety requirements. Previous experience of conservation tasks is not required and full training and equipment will be provided as required. You must be willing to work outdoors, potentially in unfavourable weather conditions, and not be afraid to muck in and get a bit dirty!

Reward:

You will have the opportunity to gain practical skills, often with the guidance of expert mentors, while contributing to the enhancement of the local area and supporting and learning about nature conservation. You will be reimbursed for travel and other out-of-pocket expenses.
