Volunteer with the Coalfield Environment Initiative and:

  • Contribute to environmental improvements in your local community
  • Develop new skills
  • Increase your understanding and appreciation of East Ayrshire’s wildlife
  • Meet like-minded people
  • Support real and lasting enhancement of the natural environment and landscape within the East Ayrshire Coalfield
  • Work towards receiving a John Muir Award

You can volunteer as much or as little as you can manage. From helping out with wildlife surveys and practical conservation activities, to writing content for our social media sites, we aim to provide interesting opportunities for learning about and experiencing wildlife.
