On Wednesday 7th June CEI staff and volunteers will be heading out to the fascinating ‘Shiel Farm’ end of Airds Moss to measure water levels in the dipwells and will be installing a network of pitfall traps for monitoring beetle species over the next few months. There might also be an opportunity to fly our drone and take some aerial pictures of the site! Please bring wellies, waterproofs and a packed lunch with you (tea/coffee/biscuits supplied, as usual!). The event will run from 10:00 – 15:00. The meeting place will be the parking area opposite Common Farm, and I can arrange to collect people from Kilmarnock or Cumnock bus station if needed – let me know via firstname.lastname@example.org or on 07766185987!
